天体観測
I've been listening to this song on loop recently. Actually, the first time I heard this was when I was surfing on YouTube and found a channel called アオペラ that just uploaded a song, I thought it was their original song, I clicked it and it sounds so good!
Yesterday I searched the real band who sing this song, it is BUMP OF CHICKEN, what a ridiculous name. I didn't know if the real song is called 天体観測 since I can't read that kanji, I copied the title and put it on search engine, it popped up, I listened to it but I still prefer the アオペラ version. As usual, every time I'm hearing a song that hooked me, I always search for the lyrics, and you know what? this song has one of the greatest lyrics out of all the songs I've heard, at least for me. The title itself makes me "hyped", it means "astronomical observation", I know that sounds a little bit too scientific and formal, the song doesn't have any scientific astronomical elements, hence the better word for it is "stargazing".

From the first verse I feel this kind of warm feeling, perhaps the activity where I go outside at midnight with someone doing things that I like makes me feel relaxed for a moment , which in this case is stargazing. Some times I go outside to see the night sky with my mother or just seeing it alone from my room, it always amazes me to think that the lights that we see are from the past and some of them have become a dead star.
Even though the lyrics, I assume, don't focus on stargazing, it still has a pretty likeable meaning. Here are some of the part of the song that I like,
